How Watching TV Can Affect Your Health

Did you know that we watch a whopping twenty-eight hours of TV each week? That means we spend one thousand six hundred and eighty minutes sitting in front the TV a week. We sit through over twenty thousand commercials each year. Yikes! This isn’t good for the fact that teen obesity is on the rise. It’s no wonder! We just have to sit in front of the TV and we become fat from lack of physical activity and excessive snacking.
After all, most of the commercials entice us to eat those yummy high fat and high calorie snacks. Watching TV can be boring, so we often eat because we’re bored. We often eat in front of the TV because it becomes a habit. Like buying popcorn and a soda at the movies, we feel we must have something to pop into our mouths while watching TV like a zombie.
